Alza the Elf

Okay, so here I am, YET AGAIN, posting stuff for Fablehaven. But this time it's an OC  . Whoop-tee-do.

Took a while to get off my lazy ass and post this one. Why I was so reluctant to post, I can honestly say your guess is as good as mine. However, the motivation is VERY clear, since just... LOOK AT THIS ARTWORK OF AMAZINGNESS MAH BUDDY has made with her and her brother (Azla is younger in that one, by the way. In York's her physical age is twelve, while in this one, which can be considered the present one, her physical age is about sixteen)! O. M. F. G. That's all I can say.

Anyway, ON TO THE STORY SHALL WE.

Alza has always been a big too eccentric for the likes of normal, VERY dignified elves. She likes to laugh and smile and be childish, little to none of her character betraying how old she REALLY is (Elves live long. REALLY long). Yep, no "ageless eyes" or "eyes who hid knowledge of generation behind the happy exterior" jazz. What you see is what you get.
Honestly, I don't know WHAT she has done (yet), but it has deemed her unfit to live among the other, more "civilized" elves. They kinda disowned her, but of course they wouldn't necessarily call it that. Sure, she was upset (Although only because now she couldn't see her dear brother nearly as often as she would like), but she learned to adapt fairly well to her new situation. She now currently lives in the forest, has made herself some simple clothing articles (WAY under the fine quality and beauty of normal elf-spun robes), and owns nothing more then a cave to live in and her trusty bow and a quiver full of arrows (Gift from her brother, Axtrec. She ADORES this bow, and carries it with her anywhere and everywhere.)
She has a bad tendancy to SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY, ALWAYS have a variety of sticks and leaves stuck in her hair (which she chopped off to this length herself. Long elf hair, no matter how sacred to her species, isn't very ideal to living and running through the woods, is it. That, and she thinks it looks cool. Once tried to make it into a nest for birds). Also, thanks to the lack of hygiene options in the woods of Fablehaven, she is almost always seen covered with splotches of dirt and mud. She managed to convince herself it makes cool camouflage.

If I ever do get my brain to force my hands to write down a story for this, she would probably meet Seth (A few, but not many, years older then he was in the last book), and knowing her, she'd probably love him. And you know what, take that however you will. It does NOT have to be the romantic way. That is, IF I get around doing it. Which I probably won't. Fangirls, put those pitchforks down.
