So this one needs a bit of backround info.

Ice is... in a really fucked place, mentally. Even without all the near-death experiences. He's exhausted himself to the bone from both scavenger jobs and constantly using him near-obsessive tendencies to make sure everything in the infirmary runs in order. He had trouble getting any sort of sleep ever since the Darkness event. He is constantly faced with his failures that are shoved into his face by his own mind.

After Nistya's rampage, this all was cranked up a notch or five simultaneously. Between dealing with all the injured during the day and dissecting Nistya's body at night, he pretty much only goes to sleep when he passes out for about twenty minutes or so over whatever it is he is doing. He got so absorbed in it that he stopped eating, as had been mentioned in a few dm rps. His immune system has taken a brutal beating because of all of this, including all the shit he did to it with sheer neglect for a good long while now, that he's also running sick. He doesn't really do anything about that either, both because of his multiple failures keeping him from slacking off in any shape or form and because he's so used to feeling shitty that he just... sorta learned to work with it. How long that will last is debatable.

This is where the last image comes in. Ice did not know Prince; her death was more upsetting to him because of death in general than it being her specifically, hence why he could still preform relatively normally. However, the others were the complete opposite. And it was there that he sort of was struck by a realization that... well, he didn't know ANY of them. And none of them knew him. And that really, his tries had been pathetic, so it was no wonder; he was too inept in interacting with any of them. Which meant that well... if he and Prince would have switched places, if he were the corpse, there would not be a single person to mourn him specifically. That his death was a statistic at best, were it to occur. So, days later, when the sickness gripped him, he started having feverish delusions. He saw Prince, or at least a ghost that had her face on it. And because it came purely from his own head, she simply parrots back all the shit he was already thinking he was failing at. In turn this stresses him out more, makes him loose more rest, gets his immune system weaker and himself sicker, so the delusions grow stronger (as you see, the bags under his eyes are so much darker in the last panel). It's a vicious cycle, and like always, almost completely fueled by none other than himself.

Now, let it be known that Ice DID NOT know Prince; they have never held as much as a chat in their lives. The ghost is in no way representative of who he thought she was; in fact, because he never knew her, it was probably why it was easier for his mind to stick her face on to all of Ice's pessimistic thoughts, since seeing her corpse was sort of the trigger to the bigger problems Ice caused himself.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it. It was fun, even if I can't feel my hand. I am far from an expert on backgrounds or shading; in fact, this is one of the very few times I tried it seriously. I think it turned out okay, in the end.
